Asset Management
LANDesk® Handheld and Embedded Device Manager lets you automate asset discovery and inventory management in addition to asset monitoring and change control alerting. Its lightweight inventory scanner catalogs detailed hardware and software attributes and stores them in a central inventory database for license tracking, reporting and change control as well as easy targeting for handheld software deployments to increase efficiency.
Efficient Software Distribution

Dynamic bandwidth throttling adjusts automatically for slower wireless connections, so software distribution tasks don’t monopolize bandwidth. And data compression reduces total traffic sent over wireless links. While checkpoint restart helps ensure that if a task is interrupted, it’s completed at the next available opportunity.
